Sign in, verify your email, and reset your password
On this page
One Voxy account works in the Mac app, the Windows app and on the website.
In the app, sign in with your email address and password, or choose Continue with Google. Google sign in finishes in your browser, and the app unlocks by itself.
On the website, choose Sign in at the top of any page.
One account can be signed in on more than one computer. Signing out on a computer signs out only that computer, and signing out on the website does not sign out your computers.
Confirm your email address
A new account confirms its email address before it can dictate. When you create an account with your email and a password, we send an email to that address with a 6 digit code and a link. Both work for 24 hours. If you asked for more than one email, use the newest.
- Voxy 0.4.1 and later show Check your inbox right after you create the account. Type the code from the email there, or open the link on any device and then choose I used the link, check again. Takes you make before confirming are saved on the Dictation page, so you can retry them once you have confirmed.
- Voxy 0.4.0 and earlier have no place to type the code, and signing in waits until your email is confirmed. Open the link in the email, on any device, press Confirm my email, then sign in. If you were already signed in, a take made before confirming shows Didn't catch that and keeps its audio: retry it from the Dictation page once you have confirmed.
If you signed up with Google, there is nothing to confirm: Google already checked the address.
The email did not arrive
- Check your spam folder. In Gmail, also look under Promotions and Updates.
- Wait a couple of minutes. Email can be slow.
- Make sure you typed the address correctly. In Voxy 0.4.1 and later, choose Use a different email on the Check your inbox screen. Otherwise, create the account again with the right address.
- In Voxy 0.4.1 and later, choose Send a new email on the Check your inbox screen. You can ask again after a short wait.
- On any version, sign in on the website and open your account page, where you can have the email sent again.
- Still nothing? Write to support@tryvoxy.com from the address you signed up with, and we will sort it out.
Forgot your password
Choose Forgot password on the sign in screen in the app or on the website. We email you a link to choose a new password. It works once, for 30 minutes. Choosing a new password signs out every other browser that was signed in to your account on the website.
If you signed up with Google, keep using Continue with Google.
What the sign in messages mean
- Email or password is incorrect. Check both. If you signed up with Google, use Continue with Google instead.
- Something went wrong on our side. Try again in a minute. On Voxy 0.4.0 and earlier this also appears when your email address is not confirmed yet: we send the confirmation email the moment that sign in is refused. Open the email from Voxy, press Confirm my email, then sign in again. On Voxy 0.4.1 and later you see the Check your inbox screen instead of this message.
- Too many tries with this email. Wait for the time shown, then try again.
- Too many new accounts were made from your network today. Mobile data, offices and campuses often put many people behind one network address, so there is a daily limit on new accounts per network. Try again tomorrow, use another network, or sign in to an account you already have.
- Sign in is turned off for this Mac or This account is suspended. Write to support@tryvoxy.com from the email address on your account and tell us what happened.
- Could not reach Voxy. Check your internet connection, then try again.
Still stuck?
Write to support@tryvoxy.com from the email address on your account. Tell us your Voxy version (open the Voxy menu and choose About Voxy), what you did, and the exact words of any message you saw. A person reads every email.
Never send your password, card numbers or the codes we email you. We will never ask for them.
